Aligned with the target of this chair he participated in the development of the Gijón DemoLab in which an IoT infrastructure at city level is being tested and developed. He is also co-founder of Plexigrid and PXR, a technology-driven companies, that develops software tools specially designed for grid operators, aggregators and virtual reality environments.”

“Selina´s knowledge area integrates techno-economic, legal, and social aspects to assess strategies to integrate distributed energy resources in the power grid. She is studying how to create an optimisation model for energy sharing in local communities and investigating influencing parameters on the value creation of services related to the flexibility of distributed energy resources. This research takes place in close cooperation with various industrial partners such as Phoenix Contact and Plexigrid, as well as other universities and research institutions.”
“Matias has developed several projects on power electronics applied to wind/solar energy generation and communication protocols applied to energy metering infrastructures. He holds a DAAD scholarship on a research project at the FH Stralsund on renewable energy and the use of hydrogen technology as an energy vector.
Right now, he is studing his PhD in Energy and Process Control with support from the Phoenix Contact Foundation.”
