Adapting the grid for the energy transition

Currently old grid infrastructure, capacity limitations and a lack of connectivity, especially in rural areas, are problems that hinder an optimised use of renewable energy. Smart grid technologies, energy storage systems and investments into general grid infrastructure will surely solve this issue in the future.
